Project Proposal: Light Box

II. Concept

My main art work will be done using CNC (computer numerical control) technology specifically the laser machine. All the art work will be then put into each light box. I will make ten boxes total. The gallery that I will be presenting in has a total of three workable walls in which I will hang all of my work. I plan on putting three boxes on each wall, if it works well, four on the front entrance wall. The boxes will be made out of plywood into 11x14 frames that will have glass and light inside. The light will work as a stage that will enhance the detailed laser cut art work. Each box will be painted black so the contrast works well with the bright LED light inside. I am thinking of cutting out frames for each box in the laser machine made out of cardboard and then spray painted black. This is only an idea I have, which I will decide during the process
